A certification scheme is in place with regards to the teak to ensure it is sutainable. The SVLK certifies the legitimacy of the teak we use and this is in place to ensure its sustainability and stops any foul play from taking place.
Our products are constructed by our mnanufacturer to the highest standards possible and we always ensure we are bringing you the best product possible. In the construction of our teak furniture our manufacturer uses mainly traditional joinery methods to give strong and sturdy products and limit the use of metals and plastics. Where these are used we keep it to a minimum level as possible.

We are always looking into different ways how we can run and operate our business to make sure we are as “eco” as possible. It is becoming evermore important to ensure we are doing our bit to help protect our fragile planet. The timber we source only ever comes from sustainable sources and it is certified to ensure this is the case.
To help further we have recently introduced a tree planting scheme to our business to help give a little back. This scheme will, on your behalf, plant a tree for every order that you place with us here at Ottena. I am sure you will agree a fantastic scheme that helps give a little back.
How we package and send our orders is always an area that we are looking at to improve and fine tune so that you still receive your products in the fastest time possible whilst still be protected whilst in transit. For our larger orders and items we send these on a pallet service to help reduce the amount of packaging needed. Our other orders are wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrap to give the best protection possible. These are both fully recyclable once not needed anymore.

In the event that some of our teak outside furniture becomes damaged in transit, either on its way to us or to our customers, we will bring it back to our warehouse and recycle it. Our team are now experienced in making appropriate repairs to teak folding tables, teak dining chairs, teak garden benches and our garden parasols. These are often restored to perfect working order so they will have a long working life.
Our recycled teak garden furniture and recycled garden parasols are available to purchase at a discount under our clearance section. This process significantly reduces waste.
