The timber we source here at Ottena to manufacture our teak furniture and wooden parasols only ever comes from sustainable sources. The timber is sourced from plantations and forests that are strictly controlled and monitored to ensure the are kept sustainable. Our teak is subject to a strict certification schem known as SVLK which certifies the legitimacy of the teak we use and ensures there is no foul play.

Our furniture is manufactured to the highest standards using high quality timber and our manufacturers use many traditional joinery methods to construct not only beautiful looking products but ones that are built to be both strong and long lasting. Where possible we try to limit the use of metals and plastics in the construction of our furniture but sometimes this is unavoidable. Where we do use these materials we ensure this is kept to an absloute minimum level.

At Ottena we are always very conscious of the environment and planet we live in and always make sure we are doing everything we can to help protect and maintain it. We are very conscious of the amount of plastics we use in our packaging and we now use a pallet delivery service for larger orders and items to help reduce the amount needed. The timber we use to manufacture our products only ever comes from sustainable forests and plantations to help preserve these areas.
