A certification scheme known as SVLK is in place to ensure this happens, without this certification no teak can be used for furniture production.
Our manufacturer handcrafts our furniture using traditional joinery methods to ensure we supply a strong and sturdy product that will last for many years in either your commercialor private setting. We keep the use of metals and plastics to a minimum but sometimes this is unavoidable however we try to keep this to a minimum using the traditional joinery methods.
Sustainability
With everything we do it is becoming more and more important to ensure we are doing everything in our powers to make a difference to our planet and environment. The teak we use only ever comes from sustainable Javanese plantations and we also use traditional joinery methods to help reduce the use for unnecessary metals and plastics in our furniture.
The packaging we use is for the most part fully recyclable, with the furniture wrapped in cardboard and protected whilst in transit by bubble wrap that can be fully recycled once not needed anymore.
We also participate in a tree planting scheme that will plant a tree on your behalf for every order placed with us here at Ottena. Helping to give a little back and protect our planet and environment for future generations.

Our team are now experienced in making appropriate repairs to teak folding tables, teak dining chairs, teak garden benches and our garden parasols. These are often restored to perfect working order so they will have a long working life.
