What this means is that the teak benches, patio sets and our ever popular Adirondacks are made with only sustainably sourced teak. The teak we use comes from Javanese plantations that are strictly controlled under the SVLK certification scheme to ensure the legitimacy of the teak we use.
Our manufacturer with their many years of expertise construct our teak furniture using mainly traditional joinery methods, they are hand finished to a fine sanded finish to give a stunning product. We only use other metals and plastics where necessary and when we do we try to keep this to a minimum level as is physically possible.

At Ottena we always want to be sure we are doing what we can to help protect our fragile environment and planet. Our furniture is wrapped in recyclable cardboard and bubble wrap to help protect it whilst in transit to you. We still use bubble wrap as it gives the best possible protection to your order but we ensure that it is fully recyclable once you have no use for it anymore.
We also omly ever use timber that has come from sustainable forests and plantations. The teak we use is closely controlled to ensure this and we have recently introduced a tree planting scheme. This scheme for every order you place with us here at Ottena will, on your behalf, plant a tree. A great initiative to help grow and preserve our fragile forests and plantations.
